Today is Day 15 and our last day of walking. I feel a bit nostalgic about the good and bad times we’ve had, but also excited that we are on the final leg of our coast to coast walk.We had a lovely breakfast with Steve, another walker, and made by Judith and then set off to rejoin the trail, walking on an up and down footpath, until we met the trail at a waterfall.

The path then wended it’s way through a wood and over some moors until we reached Hawsker.

There was a pub, but it didn’t open until 12pm, so we decided to carry on and found a cafe at a campsite near the coast. After a quick coffee, we carried on as we were eager to reach the finish line.
The coastal path was very busy with tourists, dog walkers, runners and a charity run. We even had to queue in some places!!

Then we entered the town with absolutely no fanfare and no crowds shouting our names! All in all, a bit of an anticlimax, but still an achievement for all of us š.
We walked straight to the beach, so we could throw our stones into the sea and wet our boots. A tradition we felt should be followed š.

Then on to the Bay Hotel for some of Wainwrights best and photos. We also had to sign the visitor book.

Well done. A superb achievement and I’m glad I shared a little bit of your journey. Safe journey back to the Midlands
