We left at 7.30am because we wanted to get the climbing done early. When the sun comes up fully it feels like we’re being broiled alive when climbing.
No internet last night, means that I am only just writing and posting yesterday’s blog.
I woke up yesterday feeling sick and then Dean started to feel unwell too.
The walk again involved lots of climbing, but at least the paths are becoming better and easier to follow. We had one major climb and then a long slow descent down the valley.
Dean seemed to get worse during the day and the walking was quite slow as we gave him lots of rest.
But we did finally make it into Patterdale, and quite early for once. After settling in and washing, Dean and I went to bed early, leaving Julie and Phil to play cards in the lounge.
