We’re nearly half way through on mileage, as the total route is 192 miles. However, as there are so many ways to go, we’re not going to be sure of the total for our walk until the end.But we have now done 8 days out of 15, so we’re definitely half way through in days!Today is back to walking a nice easy 11 miles, so we felt lie in was acceptable ๐. We had a leisurely, but not fantastic, breakfast at the hostel. We then started the easy part of the walk, leaving Kirkby Stephen before starting on the longest, but not highest, climb so far. 4 miles we climbed to reach the 9 standing stones. It was a long steady climb with lots of false peaks, making us think we were there, but we weren’t!
Finally, we arrived at the stones, but not for long as it was freezing cold ๐ฑ๐งฃ๐งค๐จ.The views were fantastic though. The moors now beckoned. Luckily not as boggy as normal due to all the dry weather, so quite easily passable and uneventful. We arrived at the yurt feeling tired but happy another day was done and as it was still early we were able to relax.

The yurt is cosy for 5, as Dean’s friend Darren is joining us for the night and tomorrow’s walk.
