Today was rather uneventful, as the route remained flat all day and travelled through agricultural farms and over a train line.
I didn’t even take a photo until we arrived at our lunch stop in Danby Wiske, The White Swan.

Of course, we were eager to arrive at the pub, but it was only 8 miles into a 17 mile day, so we still had a good way to go after lunch.
We started to see the hills we’re walking towards, which will be tomorrow’s route.

As always, the afternoon is much harder than the morning. Even though the area is flat, it still strains our feet and backs, hips and shoulders in varying degrees of pain.

We found a very nice little honest box, the Tired Travellers Tuckbox and had some chocolate and ices.

And for the final few miles, we worried about becoming roadkill on the A19 šš.
But it was ok to get across in the end!

Finally, after 17.5 miles, we arrived at the Bluebell Inn, where we will drink, eat and sleep and be glad that we only have 4 more days of walking to go!!
