Day 12 – Inglenook Cross to Chop Gate, Urra – 13 miles (152.5 miles)

We had breakfast early so that we could have a fairly early start today, as we only have about 13 miles to do, but a lot of hills.

On leaving the hotel, we started climbing straight away, but at least it was a steady climb for about 2 miles, with some lovely views at the top.

We followed the Cleveland Way for much of the day, with lots of ups and downs. Generally uneventful, with our first view of the North Sea 😁.

And then entered the North Yorkshire Moors.

We had a cream tea lunch, which was a lovely break.

Followed by much harder climbing, which made me regret the cream tea and gave me indigestion 😱.

My knee started to get sore with all the climbing, but we managed to make it to the Maltkiln House b&b by 5pm.

A good day 😁.
